Probably a long time I had a mk 1 fiesta that had thick black sludge for oil when it was scrapped because of the rust it ran ok though.
Was a lot of years ago before I found the benefits of looking after cars.

Too many variables, but seen a few engine internals where the oil was not changed and it was nearly blocked with hardened sludge.
