Honda Civic Type-R (01-06) Problems?

Hi

I know that Honda are known for supreme reliability but are there any problems with the Type-R that I should watch out for however rare they are?

Also i'd also like to know how much oil and water on average do they use and how much would tyres be.

ok ive never had one but a guy at work did i so wanted it thou
the only problem he had was tyres went through a set every 3 months, lots of power fwd and no traction control and expect around £100 a tyre i think there 215/40/17

the old style vtec used to use around a ltr of oil every 1000miles while on vtec (above 5600rpm) dont know if its the same with the new style i-vtec

So type-r owners are looking at £1,600 a year for tires alone? Thats like going through the 17 year old insurance payment all over again!

I get budget tires for £25 each and they usually last me a year or longer!

anout £800 - 1000 just really the front ones that were his problem but i ken he used t like booting it quite a lot. i used to go through a front set every 3 months that was with the yokos on changed to michalins and they were lasting over the year
