I have a 3.0 liter diesel (M57) that I have converted to a single turbo, ( Garret GTX3584RS) from the oem twin set up. My problem is my turbo is large and I’m having a hard time spooling it up until very high rpms. So far I have added nitrous and although I don’t fully have it dialed in it is helping, but I can’t use nitrous all the time and I want to eliminate the lagging, and excessive smoke at lower rpms.
So, I’m considering either adding a supercharger or adding back in another small turbo. Space is limited, so just looking for options and options of which route to go and how to go about it,(plumbing/controlling wise).
Thanks!
