hi. im about to change spark plugs in my golf and im wondering if there is any performance ones? which would be best? thanks

the orange spring flashing in the dash board and a mechanic just had a look at it where he said "its a glow plug problem, it needs replaceing"

to be honest mate no such thing as performance glow plugs

they are only used when the engine is cold, after that the diesel is combuisting due to the compression

and welcome to the site mate

No worries. Don't waste your money paying over the odds for glow plugs, they are used to warm a diesel's cylinders for cold starts, they have nothing to do with performance as once the engine starts to get warm they are no longer used. Posh plugs heat quicker so help the engine get warm quicker but don't add power.

They might reduce emissions indirectly, as the engine warms up quicker, but I doubt it's much difference.

If you want performance change the air intake and exhaust. Can the mk3 be remapped? Even if not a bigger intercooler would give you more power.
