All cars mounting the pavement will have their tyres punctured. It's hailed as a safety device!
What about when you have to mount to kerb to avoid an accident? Will a driver with a punctured tyre be able to avoid a pedestrian? Any councils fitting this IMO will run a legal gauntlet and face many claims for punctured tyres due to inadequate warning. The roads will also be blocked as delivery van drivers have no option but to block the roads completely to drop off deliveries.
