I know 2 of the drivers involved and both were rally drivers when I competed way back.
One was Bruce Garland who has competed in the Dakar more than once in Isuzu utes
He usually enters the Leyburn sprints where I hope to catch up and hopefully get the gossip on the film later this year.

I like the fact that they just went for the maddest stuff they could manage and used very little CGI, CGI was used just for removing safety cables and the like. Things like the flame shooting guitar are 100% real.
