right took it to a garage and had him baffled

just started to do it today
on tick over it is fine and ticking over at 800rpm, now if i was to raise the revs up to 2000rpm the revs hit 2000 but then imediatly drop to 1000 then back up to 2000 constantly, the same upto 2500 but @ 3000 it is fine :blink:
only noticed it when driving through the town as it would loose power all of a sudden then have it back again
any ideas
