garage has now informed me that the gasket is going but not relly badly yet, so still need the damn thing to get me and my crew to work, will be getting it done in the next 4 weeks, so will get it polished and ported then waynne, thanks for the idea m8,
Tightening the head bolts might buy you a bit more time. It depends how torqued up they are at the moment.

Whilst it's out, drop the 323 or 325 engine in

The head gasket will cost around £400 to sort out so you may as well buy a new, bigger engine.
