    1995 Saab 900SE Turbo help

If you want to keep the prices down, keep the engine internals as they are. If you end up blowing an engine its far cheeper to just buy a used engine and put it in !! However even at 175000 miles theres a lot of life in it. To begin with I would fit a used cross flow intercooler as found on the...

    maptun for saab 93

I understand that the T5 suite is quite popular in the states and and you can download flash programmes up to stage 3 - therefore you don't need to alter individual parameters. I have had a look at the manual and it scared me off, too complicated for me I'm afraid.

    maptun for saab 93

Hi I have a Maptun stage 3 done by Neo Brothers. Terrific performance, more economical, but more importantly no reliabillity issues. I have never had any faults on the SID display. Recommended

    Going straight

It will only pull in one direction, can't explain why - getting a bit too technical for me

    Going straight

Steering rack mountings are an issue on the NG900. Also the bulkhead can flex whilst steering. This is why the turbo versions are notorious for torque steer problems. An after market solution is available in the form of a machined metal steering rack clamp and a bulkhead brace. These are...

    Here we go again

I made the mistake of looking on ebay the other day, and just bought a td04 turbo. So here we go again - stage 5 on its way. Need to convert turbo to a 19t. Fuel pump and injectors on order. MAP sensor, ECU, intake pipework and yet another larger intercooler will have to wait !!! Maybe 3 months...

    Brummie Newbie

Obviously the money spent on upgrades will be dead money, but thats not the reason why we do this I suppose. The main engine upgrade was a stage 3 ecu from Maptun, 3" JT exhaust and K&N filter this gives 265 bhp. The extra power came from upgraded crossflow intercooler, wastegate, and dump...

    Brummie Newbie

I have changed and upgraded all shocks and springs, anti roll bar, fitted poly bushes, engine and brake upgrades. Don't be tempted to lower the car too much, mine was lowerd when I bought it and the suspension was bottoming out all the time so wasn't working. I raised it again and fitted koni...

    saab 900 project...[hello to all]

The sloppy stearing on the 900 is due to poorly designed steering rack fixing. Its an easy fix - an after market clamp and bulkhead brace can be bought. Together with a fatter rear anti roll bar you'll find it handles and stears well. Relatively cheap and just bolt on.

    saab 900 project...[hello to all]

Hi Good to see another 900 owner. Be very careful about lowering you're Saab too much. When I bought mine it was already lowered 35mm with very stiff springs and shocks. The max travel on the suspension is only about 50mm and the car would bottom out constantly destroying the handling...
