My rides:

1990-1992 Yamaha 600XT Mods: None. Not much wrenching these days, just maintenance.
1992-2000 VW Scirocco GTX Mods: 1.6 German import with sportscam, ZF transmission. Resprayed black, powdercoated gold wheels, big stereo. (did no body or enginework myself) What a ride this car was!!
1996-2-1999 Cadillac Sedan de Ville '78 Mods: None. My ride in America.

2011-2020 Audi A6 2.4 V6 Wagon. Love of my life! Sadly drowned (rainwater drain issue) Great drive, bad gearbox, great engine. First time doing serious job, timingbelt replacement. (still respect my courage for taking of the camshaft pulleys) Took me 3 days, engine ran fantastic. Scrapyard early 2020, very sad day.

Meantime started a bakery after getting out of construction in 2012 due to Bank crisis. No cash for cars. 2008 Caddy at the moment. Until 2 weeks ago.

Now bakery runs as a smooth engine opening time for a mechanical project.

Still no cash for dreamcarstuff so the Passat seems a perfect project to start with.

About
Grew up in rural Netherlands near German border. Farmland, tractors, cultivating machinery have been a "side interest" from early age. My dad could be replacing an engine during the night (and that has happened) to be able to go out the next morning with his moving supermarket. I remember a testdrive with a Capri engine in it from the scrapyard. Maybe I was 7. I didn't get a lot of grease on my hands, basically just the vehicles I was riding.

@16 Honda MT50 Mods: Long tail, high end sadle, "Dakar tank" (Yes really!), multiple 70CC cilinder upgrades (due to overheating), carburator, exhaust.
