also you would need the gearbox and drive shafts, probably the engine wiring loom and the intercooler. for what it would cost to buy all the bits and the complete engine you could just buy an early T5.

if you don't understand or have the knowledge leave it aloan. i once witnessed a VW golf with a home lightned flywheel spit it out through the bottom of the gearbox and imbed itself into a concrete floor. muppet!

could be the coil pack if i remember right the coilpack is one unit sitting over the three spark plugs.

you could also think about an engine change 2.0 turbo from the gsi. you'd be up to 200 bhp with a standard engine.

if was you i would try to keep the volvo head unit and just get a compatable changer. i know in some of the C70's they had the dolby surround sound stereo and speakers as an option you may find out that is what you have in yours. hope you get it sorted.

yes thats what i was thinking. but even those engine have different variants like the integra, accord,civic and lets not forget the mighty s2000 240 bhp standard,great engine for a kitcar like westfield.

is it not possible to just fit the type R engine in that shell i know there different maybe change engine mounts you would have 197bhp to start from.
