Hello and welcome.Can't quiet remember how to solve your problem, but think it is about turning ign to first turn then holding mode button in for 10 secs then turning off then releasing button. Anyway, if you google it , it will give you some sort of answer.

First mod was to fill it up with 5 star instead of 2 star. Then second one was to attache the front wing of an Austin A40 back on with fibre glass resin and a KitKat wrapper as no fibre glass at the time, and it passed an mot like that. Well it was back in the mid 70's !!!

Well I think it is a load of cobblers. You cant tell me exactly how much fuel is 'half a tank' as you could be out by a litre quite easily, so that in it's self can give more or less mileage depending on whether you over or under estimate what is half full.

I have a 3 point one fitted to the drivers side and the rear part is attached to an inertia type unit that bolts to an anchorage point, best of both worlds in my opinion.
