    Faster=Better MPG

Yes, I've find that high speeds on the open road tend to favour a large / more powerful engine. I get the same highway economy from a twin turbo V6 as I do from a 1.8 Corolla that I hired - the athe TTV6 was a lot more fun! High revs, steep hills and having to thrash the Corolla when...

    Nissan 300zxtt- 90

The 300ZX is renowned for its tight engine bay and lots of mechanics don't like to work on them or charge an arm and a leg to do so. At 1,200HP, you'll be wanting to do more than just the transmission (think brakes, suspension, tyres etc). Traction is going to be a bit of an issue too!

    Are you an overtaker?

Depends on which car I'm driving. If it's the "fast" manual car, then I overtake often as I find being stuck behind, next to or near cautious drivers often ends in grief due to the indecision. If I'm in the missus' slower auto car, then I don't overtake as often and just sit back most of...

    Hot hatch shoot out

If they've improved the quality and reliability, then I'd definitely consider one, especially considering that the new RS265 has just set the fastest FWD record at the Nurburgring.

    Turbo charging a 2003 2.0 fsi A4

Agree with Yugguy. Cost, convenience, reliability, legality etc all point to selling the FSI and buying a TSFI. Remember, it's not just a case of "bolt on a turbo and she'll be right". upgraded brakes, suspension, cooling, internals etc are also usually involved.

Armless Guy Changes His Car's Brake Pads

That's the last time you'll hear me complain about changing the brake pads!

    Hot hatch shoot out

Although Renault make some cracker hot hatches, I do agree that they have a history or perception of poor build quality. Fast but fast to fall apart too?!

    S2000 advice needed!!

The S2000's weakness is torque, or lack of it. I'd be looking at a supercharger or turbocharger kit.

    Does fastest mean best

I would rather set a slower lap time in a RWD car that helped me improve my throttle and steering control, corner entry, gear changes, and power out, as opposed to being fast in a powerful, AWD with DSG and all the electronic nannies. It's for the same reason why I like a manual more than a...

    V6 Galant

After you sell the Galant, replace it with an 8G Galant VR-4. It will be far from slow!

    best affordable practical performance car

The Legnums are excellent value for money. Twin turbo V6, AYC from the Evos, AWD and you can throw a mattress in the back! Just be careful if you choose the tiptronic box. Once they go bang, it won't be cheap to replace.

HI there just giot my first Supra

Welcome! The Supras resond magnificently to mods. It's not uncommon to see daily driven Supras that run 10 second passes. Let us know how you go with the turbo swap.

    more power

Being a small capacity, naturally aspirated engine, it won't be easy or cheap to obtain big power gains. What kind of power gains are you after? What's your budget? Budget will help us determine whether we're talking about induction and exhaust mods, or super / turbo charger kits.

    Hot hatch shoot out

Wayne and Yugguy are right - the Megane they tested is the "normal" Megane RS250. Both the Golf GTI and Civic Type R weigh less than the RS250. The stripped out Megane you're thinking about is the Menage 225 R26.R, which is basically a race spec car for the road...

    Is this "buyer" a hoax?

100% scam. Run if you ever see the words Paypal, Western Union, going through a divorce, don't need to inspect the car, am on an oil rig, am overseas, will use a delivery agent, will pay you more than the asking price etc.
