First, hello to one and all as I haven't been checking in for a month or so. My car is a 2009 Hyundai Sonata Limited with V6 power and 30k on the OD. When I first start the car in the morning (after it has been sitting all night) the engine fluctuates in RPM up and down a good 500-600 after it has commences running after about 30 seconds. The up and down RPM continues for at least 4 minutes or at least until the engine starts to gain in temperature. Performance (acceleration, starting cold or hot, etc.) seems to be normal other than this problem at cold start.
The car is still under warrantee so I will eventually take it to the dealer (some 40 miles away) for its regular maintenance interval however I don't need to do so for another month so I thought I would run this by all my knowledgeable friends on this forum as maybe somebody has had a similar problem and or can offer some good direction. Thank you all in advance.
