Hi Everyone,i have just bought a 1990 nova which has been garaged from new,The body and engine is immaculate.This would make a good project for a 2ltr red top conversion.Can anyone wise me up to what i need and how hard is it to do as the nova is only a 1200 so has no trick wireing for ecus or injection.any help would be great...keefy

Putting in an SRi 130/150 engine is a lot easier.

Basically you would need a different gearbox, the wiring loom would need to be updated. There will be a traction issue but the extra weight over the front would help a bit - I would recommend adding at least GTE wider alloy wheels. You would also need to change the suspension settings (especially at the front) but make sure you get FULLY adjustable shocks and then you can tune out understeer to suit your own driving preference.

Ive seen a mad SRI 150 conversion and the guy had this engine tuned. There was a bit of traction problems though
