How many times have you gone to see a car for sale only to discover that it was not as advertised?

I went to look at a car with a full service history. The guy selling seemed to think reciepts for light bulbs, cans of oil and the ocassional bit of flappy trim was the same as a full service history. The car hadn't seen new plugs in 3 years and the oil filter was so old it was covered with grime!

I've also seen a few that say "in mint condition" when you turn up it has scraped bumpers and parking dents all over it. Then they say it's not bad for the year.

I got this one,
Lady owner = registered to mum and driven mostly by a moron son.

2 previous keepers, turned out to be 4 (first one was the dealer, then 2 owners and the current owner took it to four!)

"Reliable motor" turned out to be really smokey and rattly. I guess it hadn't broken down by some miracle but I could tell it was about to.

get this all the time and then some people take offence when you bring it up. if the advert says "mint condition" then i just avoid it as usually its a load of rubbish.
