I seem to get more than my fair share of punctures. I must be doing something wrong then.

How do you avoid punctures? Is it to do with driving style, how close to the kerb you park or just one of those random things?

Tyre pressure.

Alignment.

Of-course safe parking maximum distance from the curb.

Avoiding Industrial Areas or Cargo complex, since the vehicles there do drop debris that are potentially damaging to tyres.

Also hard braking at intersections, since, to improve road grip, the bitumen there is layered with a positive aspect, i.e. instead of have indents into the road surface, there are tiny protrusions standing up, that dig into the rubber, and destroy it.

Check that out sometime, and you will notice the difference.

If the spike were long enough, do you reckon they'd get stuck in the hard rubber part of the run flat? and drag the strip into the wheel arch? haha
