I've got a good debate for you. Can anyone here think of a car that is basically the best car ever made? I couldn't pick an overall winner on this 1 so whats everyone else's thoughts? Not just the best selling or the fastest or the best handling just the absolute best car ever made. I'm stuck I can't put my finger on a winner.. Can you?

there will always be a better car but i thought about it logically and this is the best all round car i could think off
i could have taken the easy road and said the veyron but there are much better looking cars out there imo plus the price of it im taking everything into consideration i can think of

No your right the Veyron doesn't even come close. It's not about power or style it's about the best all round car of all time. The Focus is a very good choice but I think there is better out there. Lets see what other people views are on this. I think this thread may well become very interesting....:D

I really can't decide mate thats why I put this thread up. It's just you see it all the time on Top Gear an such blabering on about the best car I just wondered what people's thought's were? But honestly I couldn't choose...
 
i would go for the Toyota Celica '91
It's got power est. 260bhp
Durability...
the car rarely breaks down and is quite fuel economic though being a 2.0L Turbo
 
The best car is pretty subjective. What is it for? A daily drive or a weekend fun car?

My personal fave cars are the Fiat 500 Arbarth, pure economical fun with gocart handling. Stamfords Quattro was a really nice car and way ahead of its time in terms of performance/handling. I'd still like to get my hands on an Ariel Atom and give that a whirl as my fun weekend car. The Audi R8 seems to be a good handling supercar which is easy to live with.

If I had to choose just 1 car though it would be based on what I have read about it. The Porsche GT3 - the best Porsche ever and lets face it Porsche do make a real drivers car.;)

Your right the porsche GT3 is awesome. But anyway just the greatest car ever made. The best all rounder....:D:D
 
Yeah the GT3 is a beauty alright but I'd say I'd probably go for the E30 M3, beautiful car,plenty of guts, solid on the road, rear wheel drive :D,.......... I could go on here!! :lol:
 
Ford Escort - such a diverse car and endlessly modifiable to whatever anyones taste is. realise its a bit old but as it lasted so long (although of course through multiple facelifts/design changes) cant have been all bad?

I'd go to Sainsburys in it. Put a roof rack & a tow bar on it, perfect all round car. :)
