Hi Wayne,
The Pinto I believe produces 105 bhp on a carb and 115 with injection. With a well ported valve heat and fast road cam you should get up to 135bhp. You could add twin DCOE's 45's or 48's.

I have a ford pinto engine in my westfield and would like to know how to improve its performance

Pinto

Pinto's are great! But for a bit more acc and mid why not try a 16.00 OHV with a bore from Birkenhead engines to a 1760cc,285 hr Piper, hepolite pistons,power-max rings, dry r.s sump Group 3 head(with VW valve springs)Vernier timing, lightend and balanced crank and fly, twin Dell's (45).ETC,ETC.
Just a suggestion
The problemed bit on this,is what I bought when I was about 18 Years! It's not that easy to buy now!
Good luck
James.
