I've been using this for Ages

i think it's really good for those times when you just don't have the time to do a wax

Does anyone else use it?

It is - it's meant to be used after you've washed your car, then just drive round until it's dry - or dry off with your usual chamois / towel

Devils work.

Cleaning your car should be done on a Sunday and take about two hours. Anything quicker just isn't right!!

Its not natural, its against God, and I condemn it!!

Cleaning a car should not be quick and fun.

if you don't enjoy doing it - it's not worth doing

Not at any point then did I say I didn't enjoy doing it :amazed:

Its a labour of love.

Think of it as foreplay. You take the time to and effort in at the start to appretiate the joy of the machine afterwards!!

Cannot say I have heard of either Demonshine or DJ Red Mist :embarrest:
I think I need to start patrolling the aisles in Halfords on a more regular basis ;)

Not sure what you mean by specialist? It's easily and readily avaliable if that's what you mean. I use the Tropical version though as it contains less solvents.

Even on bare paintwork the slipperyness it leaves is awesome.

Specialist - I was thinking along the lines of a car valeters/detailers only type supplier MA! and please don't tell me that the Tropical version involves pineapple and grapefruit! If so then you and I need to talk MA ;)

T9, if we ever meet up somewhere that has power and water (say a meet or sponsored track event for example :p or if you are ever across this way) I will give one of your panels the works (wash, clay, correct, glaze, wax) and you will have to see what you think.

Quick detailers are OK but they are only really a maintainance product to top-up your existing protection or if you have nothing else as most will wear off after a week, 2 if you're lucky and a couple of washes.

:amazed: I shall sort something out and see if the date meets with your approval MA! I assume a Saturday? I will treat you to the biggest breakfast that you can eat in your favourite local cafe as a thank you ;)

Nah don't worry about it, I enjoy doing it. Yes Saturday or Sunday is best but it's hard to say for definate as my work schedule changes literally from one day to the next sometimes!

Not to worry we will see what the diary has to offer! Thought a Saturday as opposed to a Sunday in case the café's around your way like to have a sleep in on the Sabbath.

I want a nice big breakfast T9.

Im back in Feb/March.

Are we all going to meat up at this FK automotive meat on the 17th of March, or at the RAF base on the 14th of March?

Would be good to see you two (T9 and MA) TN if he is going, PG, and Badder and anyone els who has said they would go.

Id like to see the beast and the RS from MA.

Forgot about Marham, need to see if there are any places left but then if I end up on a track with a long enough straight then I can time my own 30-130 on the PerformanceBox so it's money spent on a few straight line runs that could be spent on a proper track day....

First I've heard of this FK Automotive day, what's the crack?

Im sure somone will clicky soon.

Its a Dyno run and Map day. In Worcester. Im down in south wales at the time, so I can tie it up with going back up the road to Scotland

i use demonshine its avalible as a QD at around a £5 a bottle or in 2 ltr containers in asda for a couple of quid and even seen it on bogof during the summer
i buy the big containers and but use it as a lube for when im claying. at a 10:1 ratio and after ive polished as a rinse aid to make drying off easier

to be honest i found it crap to use as a wax a few rains and it was off - that was on the skoda as didnt have time to finish it in one day and used the DS rather than waste some decent wax just for it to be stripped off the next day.
plan failed and the DS stopped beading a few days later. thats the 1st time ive used it on bare paintwork, roll on a couple of decent days when im off so i can polish and get a few coats of decent sealant on

Will do my very best BBJ to try and make the 17th of March visit. Who knows, we might have enough people on the day there to be known as the: TorqueCars Magnificent Seven or maybe even enough to be called: The Dirty Dozen!:amuse:
