Corolla on the way..

After having written off my Polo I'm now inheriting my uncles 2005 Toyota Corolla T3 1.6 Auto (boo).

What I just want to find out is what kind of tuning opportunities I've got open to me.. I'm aware that I can swap out the gearbox for a 6 speed manual BUT I won't be keeping this car for long and I really don't want to hurt the resale value too much.

So I'm thinking, suspension, exhaust, air intake.. Any others that would be useful?

Theres not a lot of options around for the Corolla. Suspension would be my top tip. I owned a 1.3gs and the suspension was really soggy. The 6 speed box would be the best bet. A fast road cam would be the best mod but that would probably affect your resale prospects. The induction kit is the easiest to take off when you come to sell it but I really doubt that you will see much of a power gain from it.

you could by some go faster pedals from halfords .. even if they dont make it go faster ..at least they look cool.. lol
