Celica GTR Relays

Hi all , can anyone tell me what the 2 mounted relays on the right hand side of the engine bay are for ??? I cant stop them clicking but everything else seems to work ?

When do they click? Is it something to do with the engine management/fuelling?

One remains silent after i hit it with a hammer but the other clicks if i use the window washer..however the pump works fine

Relays are generally meant to click. They are essentially just switches that are remotely activated. I wouldn't worry about this at all.

Yes the clicking means they are working!!!

yeah but this one remains silent until i press the washer switch and then i cant shut it up till i turn the ignition off...why would you need a relay for a washer switch
??? Am i just being dumb ?

So it keeps on clicking. It could be stuck Ive known some relays to do this. The engine bay might have had a good soaking at some point and the relay got a bit damp and has started to degrade a bit.

Get down your local scrappy and pull out a couple of relays from the same type. (check the numbers on the relay to make sure they match.)
