So I decided to get a ridiculassly underpriced 2015 manual trans 1.8 Elantra for $8900 with 30000 miles. I told my self that this is just something to use until I get my STI or gen coupe 3.8...
So is it worth remapping? I don’t want huge HP. I’m not looking for this to be a huge , fast monster because it never can be.
I just want it to idle a little faster. Spread the tourque a little lower, give it a little more crispier feel. You know ? Hyundai created it to have 37 mpg, 140hp. Can I reflash it to 30-31 mpg and 145-150 hp with a bit more , just a bit more tourque in the lower end but not enough to kill the engine in 50000 miles?
If I really knew what I was doing I would have just got a wxr or focus ST but I got a plan for that in the future anyway. Am I stuck with a dog of an engine or is there something I can do with just a basic reflash? Or power chip??
