How loud do you play your Music?

I play my music really load on the motorway/bypass because that's how i like to listen to my music and I'm not disturbing anyone, but when I'm arround crowded/residencial areas then i tend to turn it down a bit and the same just before I get home. Load means which install i have in at the time...

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Ditch the parcel shelf ones, or leave them in if you have cut the shelf and send the signal to the other speakers. Have you got the other sets in the 4 doors or just the front 2 doors. What amps have you got ie mono for the sub and what else.

    Has anyone else noticed this?

Will sound a lot better if you sound deaden the panels as well. It's all to do with cabin space and resonance. Put same kit in two different cars, and they will sound totally different. May i ask why you have put parcel shelf speakers in and a sub ? Mark

    Xantia SX HDi 110

Don't get me wrong guy's caps do have a purpose but only in small installs. The one im planning on, is going to be 5,000 watts. The reason Ian (iceman) Pinder doesn't use them is, his is really big, bigger than mine. All the guy's below don't use caps, just good wiring and good PSU's. 1...

    Xantia SX HDi 110

Thanks for advice so far guys. Cap vs Batt The powercap empties in seconds then has to refill from somewhere, whilst its refilling that, power is being taken from what could of gone to the amps. A cap will discharge faster than a battery. A cap will only work if the source power is big enough...

You would be better off just making a false floor for the amp or amps and putting a good sub in the wheel well and then carry some tyre weld around. Or just put some subs in the rear doors. Or amps on the side of the boot.

    Active Sub recommendation please!

One of the most important things about having a sub in the boot is .... how much space your willing to give up. Then and only then, can you even think of what sub you wish to install and, do i go for ported box (louder) :D or sealed box (more controlled).......not forgetting sub face up or...
