    Fuel Costs

    My first sort of "Boy Racer" car when I got my first decent job, was a Carlton 3000 GSI, 3 litre 24 valve. It was an ex police car. I drove it like a maniac and suprise, suprise, it absolutely ate petrol. I had to get rid of it in the end. Nice while it lasted though. Colaboy.

    Another little project i have done

    Very nice. It's a little bit low for my tastes but I like the rest of it. My first Escort Cosworth had the Ford Motorsport tiger stripes. God I loved that car. I rolled it over and it never felt right after that. I think the chasis was twisted. :cry: Colaboy.

    Cadence Braking

    Hi HDI Fun. You don't need 15 years experience, just have a go. :) Find a quiet bit of road you are comfortable with (and safe on) and give it a whirl. One thing to think about. Not all cars are suitable for this due to the spacing of the pedals. This is where those Chavy drilled pedals...

    Cadence Braking

    A couple of things learnt from fifteen years of rallying. Cadence braking and heel/ toe gear changes are definately your friend. If you practice it and perfect it it will become second nature.

    When your car is damaged do you feel differently about it?

    I had an RS Turbo that was in mint condition. I had a blow out and ended up through a wall. It was all fixed and looked as good as new, but I couldn't trust it any more. I sold it and bought an Astra 16v GTI which was the worst car I have ever owned. Colaboy.
