Hey all this is my motor i got on tuesday for £600 and the insurance is £2612 Fully Comp so I just put her through the MOT and as you can see i cocked up with the motor oil trying to add oil in a force 7 gale doe not work!! This is My Fiat 1.2 8v ELX Its not anywhere near as nice as your cars but its quite nimble imho Any tips on what I can improve?
Bought this recently to replace the Vectra Elite estate as badly missed my series 2 TD5 Discovery. Needed an auto as my clutch leg was suffering in traffic due to cellulitus issues in both legs over the years. So got a very happy place to be on the daily commute. No more leg cramps, bad back is now cosseted by the leather armchairs! So it's a Discovery 3 HSE auto with just about every extra going as was owned by a Land Rover Jaguar Director, has heaps of history and bills to prove. Perfect for my three Dalmatians and the 25' caravan. Need to buy a ramp for the dogs as it's a bit high for the lazy buggers! :D
So here are some pic's I took when I went out for a drive earlier this evenig. This isn't my car so I won't be doing any work on it allthough I would like to. This isn't the greatest car for tuning but it's reliable and gets me from A to B so it will do untill I can afford something more fun and better for tuning.
I bought the car in 2002 for £250 and have since spent an ever increasing amount of money on it, a year ago I decided to bite the bullet and as I had made a few contacts and friends in the right circles I booked it in for an engine rebuild but as things went on we found more and more things causing problems (rust mainly) and it turned into a bit of a nightmare. I really have a thing for classic motors so I pushed on and volunteered my services after work and at the weekends. It has been a long road but things are starting to come good and I am hoping to have it all finished for the show at the end of June. Unfortunately I cannot afford a respray and all the work besides so please excuse the mismatching panels. It did look quite good...
After a very long period of development my Sierra RS Cosworth is almost ready to rumble. The engine was completed in 2008 & its taken some time to develop the rest of the car. I will trundle it around for 6months or so to sort out any bugs before my next & final Topspeed run towards the end of 2010. 215mph in 1.5miles is the Target & we have about 1000bhp to achieve it. Only 2 road cars have ever cracked 215 in that distance in the UK so its a big ask, so wish me luck. Theres a vid below showing a test run at 900bhp & 187mph in just over 1/2 mile its scary. (Turn the volume up its a must) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hXNzf2kjqc
Hi this is my awesome chevy project :D it is a Chevrolet Suburban made in the fine year 1985 with a 6,2 liter diesel engine. the plan was to do something cool with the paint but since that plan was made the automatic transmission thought it would be a great idea to break down  but it is raised for 35" tyres by icelandic standards NOT the american way  So now the plan is... 1. Take care of ALL rust in the car ( witch is not much ) 2. Put some awesome color on it maybe matte black or matte candy apple red or maybe gloss candy apple red I have´nt made the selection yet :) 3. Put some cool rims on it 4. Stereo 5. Lighting ( xenon ) 6. Re-tint the windows 7. New Grille this will all take a lot of time but I...
My car - Tiger Cub. Bought it some time ago - it had a standard 2 litre Pinto which I took out and replaced with a tuned 2 litre Pinto. Purchased from a reliable source the engine has been in about a year now. Very quick off the mark - right up my street. Haven't done a lot to it apart from buying some wheels and respraying them myself. I absolutely love the car BUT it now it has a rival in the shape of a Raffo Belva 2 litre Zetec. Cost me an arm and a leg - had to part exchange the wife to get it but unfortunately I can't keep both cars however much I'd like to so the Tiger Cub will very soon be up for sale. Will post photos of the new car as soon as I get my greasy mitts on it. Been lurking around the site for some time but now have...

I took these a little while ago after giving it a quick clean. Since the photos I have changed the kidney grills at the front for some polished ones. My only real plans are to get some 17s for it, sort out some scratches and freshen it up a little bit. I don't want to do too much until I know what's going on with my insurance claim (on the Civic).
Well i just (well mum did :D) put a deposit down on this Renault Clio 172 Cup only 3k :o get to pick it up in 2-3weeks, just waitin for my contract from work to say they taking me on for good took it out for a test drive and my god its quick not my normal choice for a car as i tend to like longer cars like big hatches saloons or coupes, but i decided to go for something a bit cheaper, and cheaper on insurance, and well more sensible (just for a few years ) well what you think? gonna mainly concentrate on slight astetic changes, a new induction kit as the one on the car just looks like a cheap ebay buy, and cat back, and at a push a remap, nothing drastic as im planning on buying the house im in in...

So this is my toyota starlet from 1996 with a 4efte conversion with megasquirt ECU, TD40 turbo running 0.7 bar and 174 hp. :) Firstly pictures with new wheels mounted And one with the old wheels.. The car has been modified so you can't see it's got a turbo engine mounted, even when you open the bonnet the original air filter is still in it's place, but with black pipes from the FMIC mounted behind the original air filter so you will have to go close up before you can see it's turbocharged. And the rear muffler kind of looks like the standard one, just a little larger and makes a great noise, not too loud either :) will post pictures tomorrow of the engine bay if people are interested :) Pics of machine ;)
Hi all, managed to get a few photos of my car. Car spec; Peugeot 92 K reg 106 XT Hi comp 106 xsi bottom end with my 106 xt head, Lowered 60mm aprox front and 60mm aprox (2 splines of the torsion bar) rear, toyo proxes tyres front and rear (not sure make of alloys as they come with the car), clifford alarm, fully striped. all comments well come. :D
P.s. I am not a chav, merely just somebody that is bored with their slow first car I like it personally, am open to criticism / comments P.s. I KNOW I need to get some side trim , I also know I need the bonnet to be sprayed, but it will cost me a fair bit and is not important :) I had just washed the car and realized I had no pictures of it as such
I thought I'd start a project thread, although it won't be the conventional project thread as progress will be slow. So onto the car, it's my daily driver, a 2004 Hyundai Getz Sport 1.6 16v, as found in the UK, possibly elsewhere in the world, some go under the model name of Hyundai Click. The Sport model came fitted with a 1.3 16v and a 1.6 16v engine. The power figures for the 1.6 16v are a mahoosive 104bhp with 105.6 lbs/ft of torque. Trim wise the car came with electric windows, electric mirrors, electric sunroof, a/c and front fog lights as standard. The bodykit was an optional extra. The car came with many receipts for some of the other "extras" it has, such as the window tints, the graphics package and the leather re-trim...
OK had to post a few pics of her..... Mazda MX3 V6 1.8 When I got her she was in Siht state, loads of electrical faults and paintwork was in tatters. Hi All, Stumbled across the site whilst reading a write up on a V6 Mk1 Astra. Well I also have a Mk1 Astra running a chipped 2.0 16v Turbo (C20LET) and a 6 speed box (F28 ) giving 272BHP. Full custom made leather interior too :) The car had a ground up restoration over the last 18 months (a re shell of my old one) and now looks like this. Hope you like

S'alright. Feels proper weird after driving the GT everywhere for so long. When I first got in it the gearstick throw seemed MASSIVE and reet sloppy because I'm used to my short-shifter. It feels proper slow atm too  Steering though is beautifully weighted, has the best steering of any car I've ever driven. Comortable and has that "big car" feel, dead quiet and refined. 60mpg, £35 a year tax and cheap insurance isn't too bad either. Half-leathers, A/C, alloys, electric everything blah blah.
hi everybody, it was nice to get a message from the moderator Wayne who wondered where I was since no one heard from me in a long while. It is nice to be missed. So here I am, been busy building my 88 Jaguar XJS, some modifications and alot of new parts. Sounds like a mean machine now with straight pipes. I'll post some more pics.

Sold the Antara and the MGF as the latter was getting on and getting out was not very graceful! Plus with our first grandchild the wife needed more seats! So pooled the money together and bought two decent cars. The wife has now got an Audi A4 3.0 V6 Cabriolet S-Line, specced by myself and I have an A6 Avant which is pretty much S6 spec. Her car is better than mine! Just sold the T16 MG ZS to a fellow MG club member as needed the room. Still have the blue MK1 ZS. The S6 is a bit noisy, nice comfy ride and it's surprising how well it holds its own considering it is 18 years old! |B
Hi guys. As i'm sure a few of have read, i have the car booked for some toys and a rolling road setion. Well in the mean time i've been buying up the extra toys that I could without buying them through the tuning company. What I have so far comprises of:- New Samco piping for the Blow off Valve. New Samco cuplink for the Air Intake pipe. New Samco Water hoses. New Samco Braded Fuel lines. A few stickers which include Blitz, HKS Power and the Tuning company I use Xspec. Also and this is the one I can't wait for, is a sheet of sticky back carbon fibre. It's no thicker than a sheet of vinyl, woven like true carbon fibre and becasue I already have a light weight bonnet from Japan, I dont need to worry about just buying a carbon fibre...
Mmh, maybe i should post some progress on the car. And what i've been doing, was going to leave it for a while till i had done a lot of stuff, but oh well, ill post it now. Here she is stock standard after i got her: Then i got the badges off Now for the bigger change ;): New alloys :D
