Does your height ever cause a problem when you are in certain cars?

I know clarkson is always winging about cars beign to small and hammond is not pleased that the seats are so low - anyone see him in the new Merc?

I'm 6'2" and have no problems in my own car but it is a bit tight in some. Notably my mum's old escort. Hammond and Clarkson are definitely two sides of the scale .

6.1 and broad shoulders, Lotus Elise was a squeeze width wise, Still want one for my self though, Westfield was a squeeze in all directions and both were hard to get into

Im only 5,3 so never really had a problem as of yet, apart from getting out of the truck, i kinda slid n jump out lol, god help me when the lift is done :D

I'm 6'4" (and a true 6'4" in bare feet) not with my stilletos at full height and find that most cars are adjustable enough to accomodate me. Even our humble little Seat Ibiza is perfectly comfortable for me as a driver, but in that car, as with other small cars it's the poor bugger who has to sit behind me who winds up a little robbed of legroom.

The 406 was very spacious and both front seats had full 8 way electric adjustment so it would accomodate just about anyone whilst still leaving plenty of rear passenger space.

Current small cars are getting very good at packaging more interior space into a smaller exterior, err, space. Engine placement and suspension design is so good now that manufacturers can make small cars feel truly spacious. The only thing that I miss in modern small cars (Micra, Peugeot 207, Toyota Yaris etc) is the interior width; elbow room, if you like.

Im 5' 7" and never had a problem in any car. Feel a bit dwarfed in bigger saloons i.e passats and a4's but think thats just because i'm used to little hatchbacks. Bikes on the other hand do cause problems. Went to buy an R6 the other day, got all worked up sorted finance and everything. Went to test ride it and couldn't get on the f*cking thing!

Thats defo one bad thing about being on the short side........ i tried every bike i could find when i got my first one, everything was to big.

when i got my gsx600f i had to get the seat cut out and recovered so i could touch the floor :(

Im only a bit over 6"2, but i find that some small hatchs cannot acommodate both me and a passenger, the peugeot that i learnt to drive in had my knees up against the steering column, i find that becuase of my broad build that the problem only realy arises in the back seats of cars when sharing lifts, lateral space, not vertical is the challenge.

ditto on the superbike problem, instant knee cramp on all exept the biggest tourers.

Are Passats and A4's especially big? Go and try a long wheel base 7 series.
