Your crazy sat nav experiences

Do you have any crazy stories or experiences from using your sat nav?

Has it misdirected you? Mine tried to kill me once by stranding me doing a right turn over a motorway at rush hour leaving me in an island in the middle of the road - we were there about 15 minutes before a suitably small gap opened up in the fast moving traffic.

It also tried to send me over a Ford that actually turned out to be a river!

Can't recall any major fails. My old Tom Tom use to tell me I was in the middle of fields all the time. Only issue I've had with the in-built one in the chrysler was before an update. when the sat nav tried to talk the music would turn itself up over it (useful!) but that's about it really.

Been very good up until a couple of months ago when my factory sat nav aerial died, the sat nav was a shocking liar after that! Tried to send me through a field and down a dead end, it also claimed I was about 150 miles away from my destination which was another lie
