X-plate 1.6 16v coupe question

The little 125k mile meg passed her MOT last week with only one or two minor things to rectify (need to fit a couple cv boots and tyres soon)!

However....
When driving on and off the clutch in very slow traffic (1st and 2nd gear) the gear stick will often wobble quite violently. Feels to me like a knackered engine mount or something. I've had a look at the top mounts and tried to shake the engine but they look ok, is there a dog-bone on the back of the block or a mount on the subframe which causes issues....?
It's not a huge problem, it doesn't make the car unsafe but it does drive me crazy.

Is it wabbling up and down or side to side?

I might be coming in a bit play school here, but it could just be a rubber bush or something small like that.

Its wobbling front to back, like the engine is swinging forwards and backward.

Plugs were changed in July 2010. Its not stalling or missing. Feels like the engine and gearbox are just swinging in the wind lol.
