Wrong kind of leaves on the road

Taken from a railway announcement that there was "the wrong kind of leaves on the line" as a reason why the train was running late.

Apparently wet leaves are harder to clear away than dry ones!

The point of this post is a warning really. Wet leaves can be every bit as slippery and dangerous as ice. So drive carefully and keep an eye out for leaves.

They also mulch down and provide that lovely late autumn slime that is invisible to the naked eye but still as slidey as wet leaves and ice

Good point. Autumn looks pretty though.
