According to this "news" story on the BBC the car will soon become a thing of the past!

What do you think? Will cars die out? It's hard to imagine that just 100 years ago there were no such things as cars on most roads!

Assuming that cars will die out when will it be? Will it just be the act of driving that gets faded out.

While I almost certainly won't be here in 20 years the way things seem to be going it seems to me that automated or driverless cars that can be programmed by satellite navigation or in the case of public transport be guided by say a programmed guidance system embedded in the roadway.
