Who has right of way at a cross roads

Ok then, you are on a side road at a cross road so how well do you know your highway code.

Who has right of way when (assuming these cars are facing each other across the junction)...

1) Both cars on the side road are going straight ahead.
2) One car on the side road is turning left and the other is turning right.
3) Both cars are turning to the left (Ie One is going left and the other is turning right so they end up in the same direction on the main road). - I wasn't very clear so I edited this one again.

1) Equal
2) The car not crossing another persons line of route has the right of way
3) Doesn't matter as they're going oppsite ways not crossing each others paths

Doh! Allow me to correct my stupid mistake.

On 3 I wasn't very clear so I edited this one again.

3) Both cars are turning to the left hand side of the main road, so I meant they were both going in the same direction. So one car turns left and the other turns right.
