Hardrace Uprated Suspension Bushing

Manufacturers mount different types of vehicle components via an insulating rubber bush to satisfy customer and keep costs down. Rubber bushes and mounts can be used for attaching movable and immovable objects. HardRace suspension bushes are made from a high strength anti-crack rubber material and offer durability level that are 150% greater than original equipment bushes. Consequently, these bushes provide improved steering response, and feedback from the suspension to provide better stability during high speed maneuvers.

The steering rack and other fixed items such as via rubber are mounted to minimise vibration passing into the cabin. A rubber bush makes it possible to mount movable items like suspension arms, allowing the arm to travel through its range of motion by twisting the bush itself but also to insulate the car from noise and vibration.

Imagine turning the steering wheel on corner approach and start to load up the automobile’s various components. The force caused by cornering compresses the steering rack mounts, the wishbone bushes, anti roll bar mounting bushes, the suspension top bushes, and anti-roll bar drop links, just to name a few. Front track control arm bushes are usually big soft rubber items as standard that allows signification changes in castor under cornering, braking an acceleration.
During the compression of these bushes, it alters the effect your steering input has on the course the vehicle takes which means that you will need to make adjustments to the steering input in order to compensate. This also tends to slow down the rate at which your steering input changes the direction of the car reducing steering response so that you can enjoy your drive or race.

Changing the original soft bushes for uprated items reduces movement and consequently geometry which then improves the vehicles response to input, makes the car more predictable and easier to control and produces a car that is safer to drive faster. Hardrace use an uprated rubber compound rather than polyurethane to minimise noise and vibration transmission. This means that customers are in a position to get a car that is quiet and easy to control.

Alternatively some people replace the rubber bushes with bearings which eliminate any lateral movement and locate the arm solidly in position to only rotate in its designed sweep of motion. Rubber and polyurethane bushes provide significant resistance to arm movement, they want the arm to sit in the position it was fitted in so when the wheel moves upwards through its travel the bush tries to push the arm back down to its resting position.

Numerous Hardrace suspension bushing products totally protect the bearing internals from the external elements so increases the life of the joint immensely compared to those with no protection. Some of the makes you can find parts for include BMW -1 Series e87, 3 Series e30, 3 Series e36, 3 Series e46, e9x. You can also find Hardrace bushing parts for Ford – Escape, Fiesta, Focus, etc. For Honda you get a great selection for Accord, Civic, CRX. Lexus and Mazda, Mitsubishi and Nissan (Which includes the R32, R33, R34 and R35) are also popular models that are compatible with Hardrace parts.
