Which cars interest you

Ford. Mostly old Ford's like mk1 Escort/Cortina/Granada and the likes.
Dunno why I've just always thought they was cool I suppose.
Love the Mk1 Fiesta as well.

70's hot rods,,,,Revenge, Andromida,,Dusty rose,,The sweeny,,Hot'n'botherd,, nowadays its buy & fit it,,back then it was "how the hell do i make one like that but bigger & better",,,,when was the last time you heard of any one putting a Rover V8 in a Vauxhall skamp van,,,now that was one scarry ride, even if it did have a Jag IRS at the back.......

I have always liked American muscle cars, Cobra, Firebird, Mustangs, Corvettes.

There is just something about the looks and the rumble of those V8's :amuse:

as you've said " the lumps are capable of more", standard 3.5 lump polished ports, hone'd plus slight timing change should get 150- 170bhp, but then the bore & mods never stop there do they, only the money. !!!

Like i said in another reply about a gut with a Caterham super 7, he dropped a 4.6 TVR lump in it,( highly re-worked Rover V8 by TVR's),0-60,,,,,2.7, with very warm slicks . But how much would that lump cost, even if you did it ya'self i would have thought £2,500 +, overall , not worthit, think of the constant re-tuning,,nightmare,,,,but we can dream.. Oh , & thanks for theheads up Clay, i thought much the same...

apart from the obvious (driving anything that has a RB26 motor) I would say what really interest me is all old cars , say over 20 years , restored or better still , still untouched in their original spec

Something with a bit of character and unusual/rareness to it, which counts a lot of Jap stuff out. I'd not have an ordinary Evo 6 for example but I'd have a Evo 6 RS, and I'd not have an E46 M3 but I'd have a CSL :D

I very much like Citroen's C6. Looked at a 2009 model last week - 2.7 V6 HDi variant. £8k good value indeed with 50,000 miles, full history and the Citroen dealer offering a three year warranty.

Did i buy? Nope. Long term I suspect that my 131,000 mile BMW is likely a better prospect to keep for another 5 years or so.
