where do you find the ratio on a jaguar xj6 axle?

Hey can anyone help iv got a jaguar xj6 rear axle and I need to find the axles gear ratio I think it's 3.2 but I want to double check the figure?

Lock one output shaft.
Rotate the input shaft, counting the turns, until the free output shaft has made one complete turn.

Hmmmmm I did sort of do this but thought there must be a more accurate ways of finding the ratio out like a code or a something on the diff casing?

If not? As T9 said Call Jaguar with your vin# if the rear ratio has not been changed since new.
