What's the story with the Ford 2.2 TDCI?

Hi all, I have had 3 ford 2L tdci engines all good at high mileages (over 200k easily) is the 2.2 as good?
I ask as I am looking at one with 200k on the clock any thoughts?

They are rep cars so will have usually done lots of long motorway drives. If the service history is good then you won't have anything to worry about. Is the mileage reflected in the price?

The 2.2 is probably better, it works less hard to cover the distance so out of the two I'd go with the larger capacity engine.

The 2.2 is a sixteen valve motor, I believe the 2.0 is an eight valve. I used a 2.2 TDCi ST for a week back in 2007. This is the 155 PS engine. Very impressive indeed and will remap to over 200 with a corresponding increase in torque,
