what springs??

iv got a mk4 golf 1.8t 20v, i want to lower it and im looking at the eibach pro kit springs, are these a good choice and will they work well with the standard shocks? cheers

Have a look also at Bilsteins. What is the current gap between the top of the tyre and the arches? Have you fitted larger alloys, what size do you have?

thank you. if you go on a certian vag site they will tell you not to go springs but go for coilovers every bloody tmes


how much are you looking to drop it by ?

i have the standard 16' alloys on at the moment. with a gape of 2 to 2 1/2 inches.
wanting to put 17' alloys on though, maybe 18'.

was thinking of droppin it about a inch?

id say go for 50mm which would give you approx 30mm lower than current. 18" are a nice size and will fill the arches nicely

is there any way i can tell how much the springs will lower the car just by lookin at the springs?

not as such. the standard springs will "sunk" over time with age and the new spring will need tome to settle
