VW Sharan

Dose anybody else have the same problem as I am having with my Sharan? Every now and then there is smoke comes out from under the car (not the exhaust), this only happens in the winter and only for short period intervals.

Hello and welcome to TorqueCars. Have you checked the engine for oil leaks? Or it could be wet roads splashing up on the hot exhaust.

Sounds as if you have a diesel Sharan fitted with a secondary heater under the passenger side. It uses diesel with a glowplug to warm your heating up on cold mornings - hence the smoke!. As long as it stays white and goes away fairly quickly, its operating ok. If it turns blue or black then you have a problem - normally the glowpug needs replacing - good luck as its a pig of a job!
