Today I had my Unichip fitted and mapped.

It took about 1.5 hours to fit it, and probably another 2 hours to map.
Cost = £324.59 (inc. £50 deposit when booking)

I'm happy with the result :p

The company I used was TDi in Thurrock. I can recommend them highly. They may not be the cheapest place, but the guys there certainly know what they're doing.

They don't use a normal rolling road dyno, as these can give wildly varying results, and even something as little as tyre pressures can throw the results out. Instead they use a RotoTest dyno, which bolts straight to the hub.

Little video of one of the runs here

Mods are:
- Filter and heatshield
- 4-1 exhaust manifold
- 2" stainless system

It's not too bad. I can be driving gently and not notice the needle move for 30 miles, or I can put my foot down for 2 minutes and really notice it.

I've never really been one for calculating MPG.

Lifted from the Dastek site:
The Unichip is tuned for maximum performance at full throttle and fuel efficiency at partial throttle, your fuel economy is actually likely to improve slightly provided your driving style remains the same.

Doesn't say and this thread is proper old. Makes the thread pointless tbh lol. Going for a Unichip seems rather extreme for just exhaust and filter mods, unless the original ECU can't be remapped without a piggyback?
