Hello guys,

Just looking into buying my first tyres for my EVO 1 and just wondering what everyones views are on what make of tyres to go for?

Goodyear?
Pirelli?
Yokohama?
Continental?
Michelin?
Dunlop?
Firestone?
Bridgestone?

Whats the best all rounder tyres people have found work well with their EVO? For Price, traction, lastability?

SP Sports and michelin pilots seems to last a long time and work well in most weather conditions. Not sure about on the EVO 1 but Im sure they will work as well on all cars.

What about Toyo's? A very good tyre and I run Proxes on my ZS, excellent track tyre as well.

with 4 wheel drive you could allow a tyre to lose a small bit of grip in exchange for long living tyres
as for grip, its an evo, what more can i say

Goodyear f1 eagles are very soft and grippy. They are not bad in the wet. The trouble is that they don't last very long!

I've had Dunlop SP-Sports and have been quite pleased with them.

where abouts are you as i have a contact who can get good tyres at trade prices when you decide what your after

what about tyres in these dimensions:

185/30 r16?
195/40 r15?
