I have been told by Waynne that the best oil to use would be Mobil 1. However, my company pay for my fuel and oil, and I can only use BP garages as we have an account with them.

I can't find any BP garages with Mobil oil, they all sell Castrol. Is Castrol Magnitex (sp?) a suitable alternative :?: I don't want to pay out of my own pocket for Mobil 1 coz I'm a tightar*e

Wish I had a company to pay for my oil. Check the SAE number is the same if so you should be ok! Don't use a non sythetic though even if it has the same SAE rating when you need fully synthetic.

5w-30 I think (this is a best guess I'm afraid as Mobile 1 actually comes in a variety of flavours  )!

If you look under the filler cap it should tell you the correct grade for your car as it apparently varies on the year of the car.

In my experience castrol is the best oil to use... then again it's not in a type R... might try mobil 1 next time... just out of curiosity.
