Bought a JDM Honda Del sol with manual transmission and electric roof (TRANSTOP)about 8 years ago,
Fitted a carbon intake and a better air filter,a Fujitsubo Legalis R and Fujitsubo headersand a racing magnaflow catalyst
also fitted a pair of S2000 seats which are a very good upgrade on the driver comfort of the car.
About a year ago a JDM Honda Del sol with automatic transmission and manual roof was for sale
with the snow flakes rims fitted from the factory since 1992.
I had to buy the car just for the snow flakes. The idea was to remove the rims and break the car and sell the parts.
Driving the car home a few Kms the combination of extra power and the perfect matching of engine to the
gearbox Made me change my mind about auto gearboxes.
So now I am in the procedure of rebuilding my second JDM DEL SOL to the condition of my first one.
Both cars are built in 1992, they are both JDM,both are EG2 with the original B16A as fitted in the factory.
In Honda's own wordings is two way paradise.
A manual car with electric roof and an auto car with manual roof!
So the title is justified.

Nice to meet someone with a love of these JDM engines, they are pretty sweet. The auto gearboxes have come a long way from the "wait and see if it selected a gear" days of the past.
