turbulence lumps??

hi everyone, recently i stripped and rebuilt an endura e engine, when i took the cylinder head to minisport uk (padiham) the guy that does the head work said he should leave these in, but alot of people are telling me otherwise, what do you lot recon? cheers

I think I know the lumps you are referring to. Have you got any pics for reference. Removing these will improve the air flow but this will almost always reduce the Torque of the engine. These "lumps" will help the fuel/air mixture swirl and give a better and cleaner burn.

Your aim is to get as much air into the engine as possible but you still need the air fuel mix to be as good as possible. Taking out the edges around the valves in a 3 or 5 angle grind will help to improve airflow into the cylinder. (Most head guys do this anyway!)

yeah i know what you mean, but these lumps are in the exhaust ports? the head is back on the engine now, but i do have plenty of piks, how do i get them onto your site?? cheers mate
