Tuning a MkII Granada???

I am considering tuning the engine on my:
Granada Ghia X 2.8 V6 Auto( carb ).
Can anybody give me any pointers in the right direction please???
( already considering K&N induction kit ).
Also wanted bigger wheels, poss. 18", can anyone tell me if this would be possible without too much mods? & any ideas how much would affect handling?

I think 18's would compromise the ride quality. Whats on there at the moment 16's?

Why not convert it to injection - the 2.8 Capri injection set up should go on without too much hassle. Carb tuning was always so fiddly and a compromise between top or bottom end power.

Sadly it only has the standard 14" Ghia alloy wheels.

I think if I got the chance at an Injection engine, I would consider changing over.
