You will probaly laugh at this.
Was getting towed hme last week as my clutch went on the mondeo when an idiot slammed his brakes on when a set of lights was just turning to amber causing me to hit my brother in laws car. Gauged his alloy and a few scratches on his bumper. Mine needs a new bumper and a new towing eye. So what's the worst experience you lot have had either towing or being towed ?

Had something similar. Was in an escort van that I'd bought from a salvage yard with front end damage.
Was being towed on a straight bar by my other escort van and someone pulled out on us. The van infront hit the brakes an so did I but I didn't have the engine running so the brakes didn't work.
Bent the straight bar and banged into the back end of my van. Didn't do any damage luckily.

It was a little funny at the time as I thought straight bars where stronger and we just crushed it.
Ended up having to drive the van back around 2 miles with a smashed up front end because I didn't have any rope on me that day.

I thought them bars would be a lot stronger. Straightend it out a bit and carried on home. The funny part for me was when I was tryin to straighten my bar out, another car on tow went round me and the 2, yes 2 back wheels came off. It was hilarious. Certainly made my day lol. Tried to get a pictures of it, but had cars around me getting agitated cause they couldn't get round me fast enough lol

I only ever got towed once, it was around town at fairly low speeds and nothing happened. I had a friend who was towed at speeds up to 90mph and it scared him witless!

I read in a news paper about a guy who got done for speeding while being on tow. Speeds in excess of 100 mph, bet he was staining his underwear and turning the air blue lmao

When I had said van I use to scare my mate down dual carriageways.
Braking was shall we say... Interesting.
