i was seeing if anyone knows if you are able to swap an st170 intake manifold with the standard stock intake manifold on my mk1 focus 2.0 petrol zetec engine x reg (2000 model)... has nyone tried this , your comments would be appreciated lots and lots:D

The ST170 over here is a Duratec lump and uses a dual state manifold.
I'm almost 100% sure it won't bolt onto a Zetec.
If it does you'll need to change the ecu and wiring to operate it.

I assume you're talking about the 2001-2004 SVT/ST170? If so, it SHOULDN'T be a duratec based design. It SHOULD be a high output Zetec with high lift camshafts. SVT/ST170 parts SHOULD bolt onto any normal 2.0 Zetec
EVERYWHERE I've looked says it's Zetec based. where did you get Duratec from? I'm pretty sure the Focus didn't go Duratec til 2005.

ok then. OP I would suggest you import SVT parts from the USA. camshafts, head, intake manifold are what's different. Either way, all will bolt onto your 2.0L Zetec. The American SVT still had 170 HP.
regardless of whether or not you get the ported SVT head, the camshafts and intake WILL bolt onto your Zetec.

The parts can be ordered from the American Ford Racing Catalog if I recall. Anyways, the original person who uploaded the review videos I was looking for had the account banned, so I uploaded them elsewhere for download as I had downloaded them from youtube when he had them up.

It is Zetec based but the intake is a dual length runner design. They are interchangeable however it's not an easy swap as the runner swap is vacuum controlled. Takes a bunch of parts from the SVT to make it work and from what I understand it only slightly increases power. A bolt on 2000 Zetec-E intake manifold, if you can find one will make only 3 hp less than a SVT manifold swap.

Forgot to mention the SVT head also has raised intake ports and electronic variable valve timing so I doubt the cams are worth the trouble to try to fit to a non SVT head
