It is not the speed that is the killer. It is the wrong use of speed that makes it the killer. Anyone doing over 150mph (and a lot slower) off a track or motorway is irresponsible. Even on the track and on the motorway much lower speeds are appropriate at times than even the national speed limit. Common sense would tell so.
