Why build a 03 Ford Escape? I also get told "you can't do that" or "that's not possible" also they laugh when they hear about what I'm doing but I just want something different and I believe I have opened up a couple of eyes when they hear my story and what I am doing, I have always modified my cars the way I wanted and seems that I am ahead of the curve involving modifications it just seems that the times i have been close to debuting a car it has been struck down by some sort of force and I feel that force was telling me that it was to early for the car to come out thatbthe people are not ready for this, lol Thanks for reading

Mate (that's Aussie for Buddy :D ) if it rocks your boat and makes you feel good "JUST DO IT" |B
Thank you Mate, I got a question if you don't mind answering, in Australia there are many performance parts that are not available where I am at and I was wondering which shops would have Duratec 3.0 v6 parts? The one shop I have bought from is Whiteline for some suspension parts. thanks again

Rob I am not a Ford man and now into Honda's after 25 years with Mitsubishi's so hopefully there will be someone here that can help.

Whiteline is an Aussie suspension specialist that makes anti roll bars and poly bushes.

Do it for you, not for others. Ignore the doubters and haters. Any car project is worth doing if it fires your imagination and you have the skill and resources to follow it to completion.

My first front wheel drive car was a 92 Accord, we lived 2 blocks away from alot of dairy farms and after work, 1 am, I would drive around the dairies and get a feel of how the car would react is I took a corner to fast and when it rained I would slip and slide around to get a good understanding of the car, wish I would have taken pictures. I like just about any type of car of course I like some more than others but I guess you can call me a car nut, lol.

Rob Alter driving and competing in RWD cars for decades and nor in Honda Type R FWD bum drag-er LOL and learning it's grip limits I do miss the power on oversteer or looseness as you guys call it when exiting corners but I guess given my age a FWD is a safer option.

RWD needs a bit of throttle feathering to control a loose rear end whereas a FWD car needs power to bring the loose rear back on line should it step out when suddenly getting off the gas entering a corner.

I know exactly what your saying, I almost went into the wall in my honda accord when exiting the highway at high speedndid not see their was a curve at that exit, when I lifted and tried to turn I just about went into the wall, that one was close, lol
