Off to Santa Pod tomorrow for a Test and Tune Day with a friend's 351ci Ford Pop - 500bhp plus 200bhp nitrous. As this is its first outing since major rebuild more of a shakedown session than a quest for quick times. A bit like a RWYB day but more expensive.
However, you don't have to queue up for 2 hours just to get a run as numbers are severely limited. Do a run, back to the pits for a cuppa and a chat, then back out, queue for 10 - 15 minutes for your next run. Sometimes you can just go round and run again!
Very few wannabees or boy racers there, mainly serious racers, many practicing for the next meet.
