Thinkin of fitting an underbonnet upper strut brace to my stock mk3 gti...is it actually gonna make a noticeable difference (other than looking pretty funky)?

Worth every penny mate. I had 4 on the scooby and beleive me it made a huge difference. I went for front upper and lower and rear upper and lower. It can cause a slight under steer but I noticed this more on FWD cars that 4x4 or rear. They basically just help stop chassis twist when accelerating or cornering.

As cars get old the suspension mounts move apart so it will help bring everything back up to alignment.

I'm surprised that modern cars flex enough for a strut brace to make so much difference. Why don't manufacturers fit them as standard if they are so good? Any understeer produced could be designed out.
